About Me

I have been investing in Indian share markets since 2005-06 and have been managing a substantial portfolio since 2008 on which I have achieved a CAGR of close to 20%. I follow value approach to investment and generally tend to invest in companies whose market share are on the lower side (< Rs. 1000 Crores). I believe that when it comes to investing, 50% importance is on stock picking and the rest 50% on how you play your investments in terms of averaging and profit booking. The second 50% depends a lot on psychology of it which you can come to terms with only by investing your own money in the markets.

The books that have influenced me besides my own experiences are:

Intelligent Investor (Benjamin Graham)

One Upon on Wall Street (Peter Lynch)

Black Swan: The Impact of Highly Improbable (Nassim Nicholas Taleb)

Fault Lines: How Hidden Fractures Still Threaten The World Economy (Raghuram Rajan)

I read a lot of articles through twitter on Macro Economics, Finance & World Economy and tweet links to the good ones that I read. My twitter link is: https://twitter.com/Tom_Babu

Besides all this, I am a cinema aficionado and the reviews of films that I watch can be found at: http://pulpfictionfilms.blogspot.in/
